Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Pharmacist to optimize patient care through safe, cost-effective pharmaceutical services including drug dispensing and intravenous admixture, while supervising staff and supporting compliance initiatives.

The position requires a PharmD or Bachelor’s in Pharmacy, PA/NY licensure (or within 120 days of hire), and hospital experience is preferred. Work location is PA with on-site responsibilities at the health network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
• Licensed or eligible for PA and/or NY pharmacy licensure within 120 days of hire
• Hospital experience preferred (optional)

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions with prospective drug review and ensure safe, cost-effective therapies
• Provide drug information to health professionals and patients; document interventions
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, residents, and students; oversee inventory and regulatory compliance
• Maintain clean, organized department operations; support IT/automation systems
• Participate in performance improvement and safety initiatives; handle night pharmacist duties if assigned
