Job summary

Responsibilities

• Coordinates dispensing of unit dose, IV admixtures, investigational and research drugs and other pharmaceuticals.
• Identifies and monitors the pharmaceutical needs of patients.
• Reviews patient charts and interviews patients/physicians/nurses to obtain medication information.
• Verifies medication orders for completeness and legality; checks dosage and duration.
• Provides supervision of supportive staff on shift.
