Qualifications

• Must have a pharmacy degree from an accredited school.
• Must be a Registered Pharmacist in Texas.
• Strong communication and computer skills required.
• Knowledge of drugs, procedures, equipment and patient care monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify orders for therapeutic appropriateness and safety.
• Assist with formulary use and cost containment strategies.
• Enter and verify medication orders and patient charges accurately.
• Educate patients on medications and potential side effects.
• Mentor pharmacy staff and support personnel as needed.
• Stay current with laws, regulations, and Joint Commission standards.
