Job summary

UMC Health System is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to optimize patient outcomes by delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care in a multidisciplinary setting. You will review orders, monitor drug interactions, and communicate with care teams to ensure safe, effective therapy.

You will also support educational efforts, follow compounding and labeling guidelines, and participate in medication safety initiatives within the hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
• Registration as a pharmacist in Texas within the first 90 days of employment.
• Good verbal communication and ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Promote and support the culture and values of UMC.
• Review orders and patient profiles for appropriate therapy and safety.
• Document interventions when possible in the system.
• Maintain professional relationships with nursing staff and physicians.
