Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care, dispense medications, monitor therapy, and ensure safety in collaboration with the pharmacy team.

The role includes reviewing medications for allergies, interactions and clinical appropriateness, overseeing technicians, and supporting clinical initiatives, education, and regulatory compliance across the site.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an APCE accredited school of pharmacy, or equivalent, with a minimum of a BS degree in Pharmacy.
• 1-2 years of hospital pharmacy experience.
• Knowledge of USP 795, 797, and 800 standards.
• EPIC experience.

Responsibilities

• Dispense and monitor medications in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
• Review and verify medications prior to dispensing (allergies, polypharmacy, interactions, appropriateness).
• Oversee dispensing, chain of custody, and accountability of controlled substances.
• Provide pharmacological information and participate in pharmacy clinical initiatives.
• Train and supervise pharmacy staff and residents; educate students and interns.
