Job summary

Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL is seeking a Pharmacist to ensure safe, cost-effective therapeutic decisions and efficient departmental operations. You will supervise residents, students and staff while upholding Rush policies and patient care standards.

The position requires a BS in Pharmacy or PharmD, Illinois licensure, and strong communication. Weekend work and rotation across Rush locations are expected as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy license in Illinois.
• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work weekends and at multiple Rush locations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate physicians' orders for therapeutic appropriateness and dosing.
• Verify orders in Epic and clarify as needed with prescriber.
• Provide patient-specific pharmacotherapy recommendations and drug information.
• Document interventions and maintain accurate patient records.
• Supervise technical staff and coordinate workflow in the pharmacy.
