Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Hospital Patrol Driver in Cleveland, OH. You will serve and safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while patrolling healthcare facilities and parking areas, maintaining a visible security presence, and delivering exceptional customer service.

This role requires a valid driver’s license, hospital vaccination compliance, and the ability to work night shifts.

Qualifications

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in hospital morgue areas.
• Must be able to restrain individuals, as needed.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and monitoring of designated entry points while maintaining a professional presence in patient care environments.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
