Job summary

Allied Universal seeks a part-time Security Officer Unarmed Hospital Route Driver in Medina, OH. You will protect patients, visitors, and staff, maintaining safety and assisting with security procedures in a healthcare environment.

You will work daytime/evening shifts with a required valid driver's license and hospital vaccination compliance. CPR is preferred, and the role emphasizes customer service and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures, providing directions and assistance while maintaining a professional presence.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
