Job summary

Tenet Healthcare’s DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital is seeking a Transport team member to escort patients by stretcher, wheelchair or bed and handle intra-hospital transfers. You will also deliver specimens, patient charts, and related materials to assigned departments.

This part-time role supports patient flow within the hospital, working under supervision and following established policies and procedures to ensure safe, efficient transport and care coordination.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, follow written and oral instructions and perform general clerical functions related to the job.
• No previous related experience required; one to four weeks on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients by stretcher, wheelchair or bed for treatment, testing, admitting, discharge and intra-hospital transfers.
• Delivers on request specimens, patient charts and various other patient related materials to specified department or other hospital area.
