Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a transportation and sitter support teammate. You will provide safe patient transport, assist with 1:1 sitter duties, and serve as a friendly contact for patients, families, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work the hours specified and perform essential functions.
• Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties.
• Effective communication and ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech.
• High School or GED required; related experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist patients for transportation with proper safety practices.
• Pickup and delivery of patient equipment and supplies.
• Identify broken or damaged equipment and report per procedure.
• Transport specimens and blood samples as required.
• Provide 1:1 observation and basic patient care under nursing supervision.
