Job summary

Albert Einstein Medical Center is seeking an Operations Mechanic I to support hospital mechanical equipment and infrastructure. You will perform rounds, preventative maintenance, and repairs across chillers, compressors, PTACs, BAS controls, and life-safety systems.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a certified technical school program, with at least 5 years of related experience in commercial building maintenance. Weekend evening shifts are included.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of training from a certified technical school or program.
• Experience: minimum 5 years in commercial building maintenance.
• Familiarity with electrical safety and lockout/tagout standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds of building systems and inspect HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety equipment.
• Assist with urgent, corrective, routine, preventative, and requisitioned repairs as directed.
• Maintain records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Respond to house calls for maintenance requests and coordinate with supervisor.
• Conduct scheduled rounds to inspect lighting and regulatory compliance.
