Job summary

Emerus Holdings, Inc. is seeking an experienced nursing leader to provide governance and create an atmosphere of continuous quality patient care in a small-format hospital environment.

You will provide clear direction to clinical and office staff and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations plus licensing standards. The role involves leading nursing, lab, radiology, pharmacy, front office and dietary operations, managing budgets, and driving staff development and performance

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions, required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association, required.
• 3+ years of progressive management experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
• 5+ years nursing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of JCAHO or DNV standards required.
• Completion of FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800 within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, training, supervision, guidance and coaching for hospital employees.
• May serve as the Patient Safety Officer for assigned facilities as granted authority by the Board and Medical Executive Committee.
• Conduct Root Cause Analyses (RCA) with the Patient Safety Committee to mitigate patient safety issues.
• Ensure hospital compliance with policies, procedures and licensing/accreditation standards.
• Handle patient grievances with adherence to privacy and PHI security.
• Lead facility inspections by licensing and accrediting agencies.
• Oversee Nursing, Lab, Radiology, Pharmacy, Front Office and Dietary functions.
• Maintain fiscal accountability through budget oversight.
• Complete and communicate employee performance evaluations.
