Job summary

Emerus is seeking a nursing leader to provide strategic direction and create an atmosphere of quality patient care across hospital systems. This role partners with Emerus leadership to establish a neighborhood hospital culture emphasizing patient and people-focused care, with a ground-up build in our facilities.

Responsibilities include leading clinical and office staff, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations, overseeing Nursing, Lab, Radiology, Pharmacy, Front Office and

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Current state RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• 3+ years of progressive management experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
• 5+ years nursing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of JCAHO or DNV standards required.
• FEMA ICs 100, ICs 200, ICs 700, and ICs 800 within 60 days of hire.
• English fluency in written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, training, supervision, guidance and coaching for hospital employees.
• May serve as the Patient Safety Officer for assigned facilities as granted authority by the Board and Medical Exec Committee.
• Conduct Root Cause Analyses (RCA) to mitigate patient safety issues and develop action plans.
• Ensure hospital compliance with policies, procedures and licensing standards.
• Handle patient grievances, ensuring PHI privacy and security.
• Lead facility inspections by licensing and accreditation agencies.
• Oversee Nursing, Lab, Radiology, Pharmacy, Front Office and Dietary.
• Maintain fiscal accountability through budgeting and financial oversight.
