Job summary

Emerus partners with ChristianaCare to establish a neighborhood hospital of choice. This nursing leadership role provides direction to clinical and office staff across nursing, lab, radiology, pharmacy, front office and dietary, ensuring continuity of high-quality patient care in emergent hospital settings. BSN required; RN licensure current.

3+ years progressive hospital management; 5+ years nursing experience preferred. Knowledge of JCAHO/DNV; FEMA ICS 100/200/700/800 within 60 days.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure without sanctions.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• 3+ years of progressive hospital management experience (preferred).
• 5+ years nursing experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of JCAHO or DNV standards.
• FEMA ICS 100/200/700/800 completed within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, training, supervision, and coaching for hospital staff.
• Serve as Patient Safety Officer as granted by leadership to monitor incidents and safety.
• Conduct Root Cause Analyses and develop action plans to improve safety.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, licensing, and accreditation.
• Handle patient grievances with PHI privacy in mind.
• Lead facility inspections by licensing/accrediting agencies.
• Oversee Nursing, Lab, Radiology, Pharmacy, Front Office and Dietary.
• Oversee budgeting and fiscal accountability.
• Complete and communicate employee performance evaluations.
• Drive data to regional management using clear metrics.
• Monitor quality indicators and coordinate with safety and infection control.
• Ensure ongoing staff training, safety, and quality initiatives.
• Ensure business office policies on patient processes and collections are followed.
• Ensure adequate supplies and staffing; travel to facilities as required.
