Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a compassionate food service teammate in Grand Junction, CO. The role encompasses patient tray assembly, meal delivery, cashier duties, and overall food service support within a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include preparing simple foods, maintaining safety and cleanliness, and providing excellent customer service to patients and staff. Flexible shifts include 3 twelve-hour days plus one four-hour shift weekly, with full-time, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by first day of work.
• One or more year of experience in food service or hospital service preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work with modified diets preferred
• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service preferred

Responsibilities

• Delivers and presents trays to patients using the standard process.
• Performs food preparation functions according to system standards (salads, sandwiches, vegetables, fruit).
• Follows standardized practices relating to Nutrition Services (dining experience, meal delivery, stock levels).
• Performs housekeeping and cleaning tasks including surfaces, floor, and equipment.
• Handles cash/credit transactions according to system standards and resolves basic customer issues.
