Job summary

Rush Specialty Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking a Materials Technician to manage daily stock, process deliveries, and help control inventory within the hospital's central supplies. This full-time, hourly role supports multiple departments by ensuring timely availability of supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities include receiving and logging purchases, restocking nursing stations, coding invoices, reconciling invoices with purchase orders, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook and 10 key are required.
• Five (5) years of experience as a Materials Tech is preferred.
• Associate's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stocking needed daily supplies and processing daily deliveries.
• Collecting daily charge data, entering and logging charges for each department, ordering supplies, and handling rental equipment.
• Reviewing and restocking daily supplies in nursing stations below par level.
• Receiving all facility supplies and noting received amounts on purchase orders.
• Handling inventory, rotating stock, and maintaining adequate levels.
• Reviewing invoices and reconciling to packing slips and purchase orders.
• Verifying invoice charges for ordered and agreed rates.
• Coding invoice line items with GL accounts and reconciling all PO in a timely manner.
• Verifying all approval signatures per policies before processing invoices.
