Job summary

Alameda Health System is seeking a Warehouse Associate to requisition, order, deliver, receive and store supplies and equipment. You will maintain inventory records and input usage data, while moving heavy objects and distributing items to departments across the hospital.

The role includes cycle counts, FIFO stocking, and operating or assisting with warehouse equipment. A valid California driver’s license is required, and prior experience in a fast-paced supply chain environment is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Associate's degree or some college coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers, sets up and places new furniture and equipment; drives a light/medium duty vehicle to departments or external locations.
• Performs cycle counts and FIFO stocking; maintains inventory records and coordinates with Purchasing/central stores.
• Receives, stores, rotates and issues supplies, instruments, and equipment to patient-care units; stocks storerooms at predetermined levels.
• Maintains orderly storerooms; performs data entry into automated inventory systems and may perform daily physical inventories.
• Receives stock from AHS stores or outside vendors; tracks packages using vendor tracking tools; resolves discrepancies with invoices.
• Operates equipment such as pneumatic tubes, dollies, hand carts, pallet jacks and forklift when trained.
• Performs mail room duties including handling USPS/FedEx; prepares orders, files, and maintains records.
