The role requires a valid MA driver’s license and ability to lift up to 70 pounds periodically. Qualifications include a high school diploma (infections/waste training a plus) and experience with automated inventory systems.

Qualifications

• Must have good written and verbal skills and be capable of reaching, pushing, and lifting materials weighing up to 70 pounds 10% of the workday and 5-40 pounds most of the day.
• Valid Massachusetts driver's license, with a good driving record.
• Experience or demonstrated ability to learn an automated inventory system; two years in a distribution setting or one year in Supply Chain Service at Mount Auburn Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and orders supply to support operations; maintains par levels and JIT inventories.
• Receives incoming supplies and notifies relevant departments of discrepancies or damages.
• Creates requisitions, uploads orders, and validates packing slips against purchase orders.
• Delivers and rotates stock in inventory areas, assigns items to proper locations.
• Maintains contact with staff to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with policies.
• Expedites materials via USPS, UPS, FedEx or other carriers.
• Assists in sorting and routing mail and packages, and processes outbound shipments.
• Operates hospital vehicles for courier deliveries and conducts daily vehicle inspections.
• Transports mail, materials, and assets along approved routes within set schedules.
• Identifies inactive/outdated items and coordinates adjustments with management.
• Maintains records and assists in training new employees.
• Cleans and inventories carts and department equipment.
