Job summary

Qualifications

• Educational background is typically a high school diploma plus infectious and hazardous waste training a plus.
• Ability to work in a sometimes-stressful environment with a positive attitude toward peers and supervisor.
• Must follow safety standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Good written and verbal communication; able to reach, push, and lift materials up to 70 pounds 10% of the workday.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and orders supplies to support hospital operations.
• Receives supplies and notifies relevant departments of discrepancies.
• Processes requisitions and uploads orders to Purchasing; verifies packing slips.
• Manages stock in various inventory areas and rotates stock as needed.
• Maintains inventory records and reports; assists in training new staff.
• Operates and maintains hospital vehicles for courier duties and routine deliveries.
• Ensures compliance with policies for timely delivery, receipt, and accountability of all incoming materials.
