Sharon Hospital seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to perform routine and preventive maintenance across electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical systems. The role requires hands-on skills, safety compliance, and the ability to read blueprints and operate building management systems.

On-site position in the Plant Operations team with overtime, night and weekend coverage as needed. Benefits include PTO, medical/dental/vision, retirement plans, and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of basic building trades to perform light carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical repairs.
• Willing to work overtime, night and weekend as required.
• Ability to read blueprints and operate Building Energy Management System or EMS. (Johnson Control System)

Responsabilités

• Electrical systems: maintain and troubleshoot nurse call system and CCTV; respond to patient service requests within minutes.
• Plumbing: clear stoppages, repair fixtures, valves and leaks; locate shutoffs.
• Carpentry: repair wheelchairs and doors; patch walls; handle locks/keys and doors. Inspect for code compliance.
• Mechanical systems: perform PMs on HVAC; monitor logs, operate EMS; document readings and repairs.
• Code compliance: follow NFPA regulations, report emergencies, and wear PPE; overtime and on-call as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned and ensure safety training and certifications are up to date.
