Job summary

AdventHealth in Columbus, NC is seeking a maintenance technician to support operation and upkeep of building systems, including painting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, locksmith and alarm systems.

You will maintain logs, manage tools, and collaborate across departments to ensure smooth operations. The role requires HS diploma, DL, and healthcare setting experience preferred; day shift in a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Excellent reading, writing and speaking English.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Ability to calculate proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volumes.
• Knowledge of safe handling of tools and equipment.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to read and understand work orders.
• Ability to enter data in a CMMS system.
• Complete all assigned work.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operation and maintenance of painting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, locksmith, and alarm systems.
• Maintain complete and accurate maintenance records and logs.
• Manage and maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Collaborate with other departments to avoid interference with operations.
• Perform essential repairs and other duties as requested.
