Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a versatile Locksmith/Carpenter/Mason to support Einstein Main in Philadelphia. The role covers general repair, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and safety-focused maintenance to keep hospital facilities compliant and functioning.

You will perform rounds, document inspections, assist with urgent and routine repairs, and participate in multiple trades under supervision, ensuring adherence to lockout/tagout and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
• Assists with the performance of urgent, corrective, routine, preventative, and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical and plumbing equipment and systems as directed by senior-level staff or supervisor.
• Maintains routine records of all inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs performed on any equipment or system.
• Make scheduled rounds of building areas, including the inspection of all lighting fixtures to assure proper function, to identify and resolve regulatory compliance deficiencies.
• Performs manual duties as requested (i.e. moving supplies, furniture, replacing light bulbs, trash removal, etc).
• Assigned to perform other duties in the following areas as directed: air conditioning, carpentry, electrical, painting, plant operations and plumbing. Understanding of electrical safety and lockout/tagout standards.
