Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic III to perform skilled mechanical maintenance and repairs on hospital facilities and systems. You will troubleshoot, inspect, and maintain equipment, read blueprints, and work to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity.

• High School diploma or GED required; Boiler Operator license (CA) upon hire; HVAC Universal Technician certification upon hire; CA driver's license upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs hospital facilities and equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance and inspections; responds to repair requests.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, diagrams, and equipment manuals; patching, plumbing, and general maintenance.
• Troubleshoots electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems; includes VFDs, MCCs, DDC controls, chillers, and HVAC equipment.
• Maintains boiler and chiller plants, water treatment, and related controls; ensures safe and efficient operation.
• Completes work orders by deadlines and keeps daily logs; communicates updates to stakeholders.
