Job summary

Mercy Gilbert Medical Center in Gilbert, Arizona is seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineer to maintain, install, and replace hospital equipment, ensuring uninterrupted and safe operation of our facilities. You will perform routine maintenance on key systems and support other maintenance staff to keep essential services running.

The role requires hands-on experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and refrigeration, with strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Five (5) years experience in a general maintenance or similar position.

Responsibilities

• Completes work requisitions assigned. Repairs, installs, replaces, and makes changes only as directed on work requests or as directed by supervisor/manager
• Completes Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance work requests as assigned (training and/or education to be provided by Manager of Plant Maintenance or designee)
• Provides training for other Maintenance personnel in areas of expertise requested by Supervisor or Manager of Plant Maintenance
• Performs routine rounds as requested and monitors necessary equipment and conditions
• Works well without direct supervision
• Performs routine maintenance on the following system: Plumbing, Electrical, Patient Beds and Fire Prevention Equipment
