Job summary

Mercy Gilbert Medical Center in Gilbert, AZ, is seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineer to maintain, install, and replace hospital equipment across Plumbing, Electrical, Patient Beds, HVAC, and Refrigeration systems. The role supports the operational readiness and safety of the hospital environment.

The ideal candidate has extensive maintenance experience in a hospital setting, with strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills, and can train others as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Five (5) years experience in a general maintenance or similar position.

Responsibilities

• Completes work requisitions assigned. Repairs, installs, replaces, and makes changes only as directed on work requests or as directed by supervisor/manager.
• Completes Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance work requests as assigned (training and/or education to be provided by Manager of Plant Maintenance or designee).
• Provides training for other Maintenance personnel in areas of expertise requested by Supervisor or Manager of Plant Maintenance.
• Performs routine rounds as requested and monitors necessary equipment and conditions.
• Works well without direct supervision.
• Performs routine maintenance on Plumbing, Electrical, Patient Beds and Fire Prevention Equipment.
