Job summary

Qualifications

• One year previous job-related/equivalent experience.
• Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and a rotating schedule to meet operational needs.
• Must be able to perform heavy manual tasks.
• Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Current State of California Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up U.S. and inter-departmental mail for UCI Medical Center and School of Medicine.
• Sort and meter mail, and handle payroll sheets and checks.
• Recharge for mailroom services and research undeliverable mail.
• Maintain mailroom equipment and participate in annual inventories.
• Operate a delivery van and provide excellent customer service.
