Job summary

The Minneapolis VA Health Care System seeks a Laundry Worker to operate in the Laundry and Dry Cleaning Section within the Environmental Management Service. Training is provided; shifts may vary.

Duties include work on both soiled and clean/finish sides of the laundry area while adhering to procedures and safety standards. Applicants should meet the screening and qualification requirements by the closing date, and demonstrate the ability to read, interpret, and follow written and oral directions

Qualifications

• No specific length of training is required, but you must show evidence of training or experience.
• Applicants are evaluated under OPM Federal Wage System standards.
• Must be able to read and interpret written and oral instructions.
• Must be able to work with limited supervision and follow safety precautions.
• Ability to communicate with hospital staff, patients and visitors.
