You will perform phlebotomy, collect specimens, ensure proper handling, and adhere to regulatory guidelines under supervision, with emphasis on accuracy and safety.

You will participate in mandatory training, maintain competency, assist the team with daily tasks, and communicate effectively with patients and care teams while upholding the hospital's commitment

Qualifications

• Adheres to general lab policies and department procedures.
• Demonstrates independent decision-making with minimal supervision.
• Maintains competency and completes required training on deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Follows laboratory policies and regulatory guidelines (TJC/NPSG).
• Assesses situations and determines appropriate actions.
• Maintains competency within designated lab sections and completes scheduled tasks.
• Participates in mandatory training annually and as required.
• Assists in specimen receiving and orderly supply handling.
• Organizes daily tasks in assigned area(s).
• Investigates specimen collection problems using OSR and tracking tools.
• Trains new employees and/or students in lab policies and procedures.
• Explains procedures effectively to patients of all ages.
