Job summary

Avita Health System in Bucyrus, OH is seeking a Technical Laboratory Assistant (TLA) to support the Laboratory Department. Under supervision, you will assist with phlebotomy, process specimens, and help maintain equipment and clerical tasks.

Preferred candidates have phlebotomy training and medical terminology knowledge; required are a high school diploma, current BLS, and hospital lab experience with phlebotomy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• At least two years of full-time experience in a hospital laboratory with phlebotomy experience.
• Must adhere to state, federal, and accrediting body regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain laboratory equipment as necessary and assist in clerical duties.
• Assist technicians and technologists as needed.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures and processing of specimens.
• Conduct CLIA-waived testing and produce quality results.
