Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Lab Professional to join our team at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, KS.

This per diem/as-needed role involves receiving and sorting clinical lab specimens, preparing them for testing, and entering data while ensuring quality and safety in a fast-paced production environment. You will work with standard operating procedures, troubleshoot specimen issues, and maintain equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 years or more of medical/lab or production experience in a hospital lab setting preferred.
• Comfortability with handling biological specimens and maintaining safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Must be able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested
• Follow all SOPs to ensure safety and quality standards

Work Schedule: Per Diem / As Needed

Job Responsibilities:
