Palmetto General Hospital is seeking a Dishwasher Utility Worker to support the daily operations of the food service department in Hialeah, FL. The role focuses on dishwashing, basic food prep assistance, and maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen and dining area.

The position is full-time with a schedule of Monday–Friday and weekends, 7:00am–7:00pm, and a pay rate of $15.00 per hour. Candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs while working as part of a team to

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Basic understanding of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Dishwashing & Cleaning: Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils in accordance with food safety standards.
• Food Preparation Support: Assist with basic food prep tasks and portioning.
• Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas and storage.
• Inventory Assistance: Stock food supplies and cleaning products; organize storage areas.
• Sanitation Compliance: Follow sanitation and safety protocols to ensure compliance.
• Team Collaboration: Work with kitchen staff to support operations.
