Job summary

Holy Cross Hospital Jordan Valley seeks a Cook to prepare meals for patients, staff and visitors. You will follow standardized recipes to ensure consistency and comply with therapeutic diets while maintaining strict food safety and regulatory standards.

You will label, store, and sanitize to support quality control and patient nutrition services, adapting to complex dietary requirements and hospital procedures with attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• One year of Food Service Experience.
• FHP ANSI approved or ServSafe certification where required per state guidelines.
• Preferred: Cooking experience and a high school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves food in accordance with menu guidelines and dietary requirements, using kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Follows health and safety standards, monitors temperatures, prevents cross-contamination, and maintains hygiene.
• Maintains labeling and storage protocols for all food products and equipment.
• Performs cleaning and sanitizing duties to keep cooking and serving areas hygienic and safe.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
