Job summary

The University of Maryland Medical System Corporation is seeking a sanitation/housekeeping aide to join the Support Services Team. You will maintain sanitation of kitchen and dining room areas and wash pots, pans, and dishes in a hospital setting.

This position operates on a rotating schedule and may interact with patients occasionally. The role requires ability to work quickly under time constraints and to follow directions.

Qualifications

• Experience in sanitation or housekeeping preferred.
• Ability to work under time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to read and understand English and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks according to workflow.
• Maintain dishroom duties including scrapping trays, loading/unloading dish machine, sorting silverware.
• Record dish machine and pot water temperatures and take corrective actions as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors; clean tables, counters, and kitchen equipment.
