University of Maryland Medical System Corporation in Bel Air, MD is seeking a dedicated kitchen sanitation attendant to maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas, wash pots, pans and dishes, and support patient services as needed.

The role requires ability to work under time constraints in a fast-paced hospital environment, interact professionally with patients and staff, and follow directions. Rotating schedule; on-site work with orientation and training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in sanitation or housekeeping preferred.
• Up to 2 months orientation and training to gain specific capabilities.
• Ability to read and understand English.

Responsabilités

• Performs all daily cleaning assignments as per work flow.
• Performs all weekly cleaning assignments as per cleaning schedule.
• Works in dishroom, scrapping trays, loading and unloading dish machine and sorting silverware.
• Records dish machine and pot water temperatures, takes necessary corrective action if temperatures fall outside of proper range.
• Sweeps and mops floors.
• Cleans tables, counters and various types of kitchen equipment such as steam tables, refrigerators, slicer.
• Removes trash from department and transports to disposal area maintaining levels in department.
• Receives food deliveries and stores products in appropriate areas rotating stock according to policy.
• Delivers floor stock to all floors while maintaining par levels and fills requisitions as needed.
• Delivers patient late trays to the ED and other patient units when requested in a timely fashion.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrates interpersonal skills necessary in communicating with patients and customers.
