Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking personnel for on-call food service roles in California. Responsibilities include meal assembly, tray delivery, and maintaining sanitation in food service areas.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull carts up to 100 lbs as needed.
• Two years in a food service establishment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Upholds Kaiser Permanente policies and procedures and applicable laws.
• Assembles food and non-food items for patient trays, cafeteria, and catering services.
• Delivers food carts with patient meals and nourishments to appropriate pantries and meeting rooms.
• Collects soiled dishes after meals and returns them to the dish room.
• Ensures quality and appearance of items and proper storage following HACCP guidelines.
• Cleans, sanitizes and maintains dishes, carts, equipment, work areas and pantry stations.
• Maintains stock levels and inventories; disposes of outdated foods.
• Communicates with patients, doctors, members, vendors, staff, and coworkers.
• Collects and maintains written information including logs, menus, slips, charts, and scheduling.
• May provide training and orientation.
