Kaiser Permanente is seeking a food service team member to support patient meals and cafeteria operations at multiple locations. The role includes cross‑training in tray assembly, ware washing, and patient room service activities, with focus on timely delivery and sanitation.

The successful candidate will work weekend shifts, help maintain inventories, and ensure safety standards are followed in food handling and service areas. A California Food Handler Certificate is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate standard quantity food service equipment (dish machine, food processors, mixer, chopper, slicer, steam table, tray conveyer).
• Knowledge of quantity food service preparation techniques.
• Must have good communication skills and ability to work well on service teams.

Responsabilités

• Assemble patient trays with appropriate food and supply items per menu specifications.
• Operate and sanitize dish machine and wash pots, pans, and utensils.
• Transport food items and carts to nursing units or other service locations.
• Inventory and prepare items for display in cafeteria service areas and catered events.
• Deliver catering items to meeting locations within specified time frames.
