Job summary

Marquise is seeking a dedicated cook to prepare and cook food according to corporate standards. You will assemble mise en place, maintain food safety, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

The role requires proven cooking experience, a food safety certification, and the ability to work independently and in a team. Shifts rotate between 6am-2pm and 9am-5pm, with weekend coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven cooking experience in restaurant or prep cook role.
• Food Safety Certification required.
• Certificate from a recognized cooking school.
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
• Accuracy and speed in executing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, pre-cook and/or cook food products as directed.
• Prepare mise en place for high-volume production.
• Clean kitchen equipment after use per safety policies.
• Label, date, store and rotate food and beverages appropriately.
• Communicate with operating departments as needed.
• Report maintenance or equipment issues to supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
