Job summary

Parkridge Valley is seeking a Food & Nutrition Cook to support patient meals and event catering across our campus in Chattanooga, TN. The role emphasizes accurate recipe execution, cleanliness, and responsive service for patients and staff.

You will read production sheets, forecast needs, and uphold confidentiality while aligning with the facility’s mission and values. Prior cooking experience helps, and ServSafe/food handler certification is required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of cooking experience preferred.
• Food Handlers or ServSafe Certificate within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food per recipe specifications for patient line, retail areas, doctor’s lounge, or catered events.
• Read production sheets and forecast production needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Food & Nutrition department.
• Demonstrate competencies as listed on the Competency Checklist.
• Adhere to confidentiality and patients' rights policies.
