Job summary

Starr Regional Medical Center - Athens, TN is seeking a friendly cook to join our culinary team under the guidance of the chef/production manager. You will prepare meals for patients, visitors, and hospital staff, and assist with catering and cafe operations.

You will follow recipes, maintain a clean, safe work environment, and support daily department operations. A background check and drug screen are required; applicants must be 18+ and able to communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen (fast food, hotel operations, healthcare).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
• Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality meals for patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
• Follow company recipes and guidelines to prepare all food items.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow sanitation procedures.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures; assist team members as needed.
