Job summary

CHI St. Alexius Health Garrison is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals for patients and staff in a fast-paced hospital kitchen. You will focus on food prep, while flexibly assisting with tray service and patient-facing duties, contributing to a collaborative, health-focused environment.

You will follow menu guidelines, ensure proper temperatures, prevent cross-contamination, and maintain clean, organized storage and equipment areas in support of high-quality hospital food service.

Qualifications

• One year of food service experience or equivalent.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation and cooking according to recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Assist with tray service and patient interactions as needed.
• Maintain food safety, hygienic practices, and proper temperature control.
• Store and label items, clean cooking and serving areas, and operate kitchen equipment.
