Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM seeks a qualified Cook to prepare hot and cold items for multiple department areas. Responsibilities include menu-driven prep, bulk production, and retail item preparation. The role requires knife skills, food safety practices, and customer-facing plating.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years in high-volume settings, with 5–10 years preferred. This is a full-time position with varied days and hours and a comprehensive benefits package.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in high-volume food preparation and cooking.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Internal candidates may qualify by demonstrating competency in two or more kitchen stations.

Mansioni

• Assists in the preparation of hot food items for all areas as indicated by menu cycles.
• Responsible for preliminary preparation of food items for the next day as indicated by menu cycle.
• Read production tickets.
• Assist with routine cleaning and sanitation of areas.
• Assist with serving food items as indicated by established workflow.
• Demonstrate competency in knife skills.
• Demonstrate competency in food service safety practices and temperature control.
• Perform cooking, plating, and completion of dishes in view of/interacting with customers.
• Assist with fruit and vegetable preparation, portioning, and other bulk food preparation.
• Assist with preparing Grab and Go and other retail items.
• Take and fill orders verbally.
• Proficient in utilization of flat top grill, convection oven, deep fat fryer, quick cook ovens, and char broiler.
• Proficient in various cooking methods including pan frying, sauteing, deep frying, boiling, and baking/roasting.
• Demonstrate customer service and communication skills with guests.
