Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM, seeks a qualified Cook to prepare hot and cold foods for multiple dining areas. Responsibilities include prep for Cold Prep, Grab & Go, bulk items, and grill work, following established recipes and production needs.

The successful candidate will have 3–5 years of high-volume food prep and cooking experience, with strong knife skills and a commitment to safety and sanitation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3–5 years of high-volume food preparation and cooking.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Internal candidates may qualify by competency on two+ kitchen stations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing hot items for all areas per menu cycles.
• Preliminary prep for the next day as indicated by menu cycle.
• Read and follow production tickets.
• Assist with cleaning and sanitation of areas.
• Serve food items according to established workflow.
• Demonstrate knife skills and safe food handling practices.
• Maintain food safety and proper temperature controls.
• Cook, plate, and present dishes in view of customers.
• Assist with fruit/vegetable prep and bulk items.
• Prepare Grab and Go and other retail items.
• Take and fill orders verbally.
• Operate flat top grill, convection oven, deep fryer, quick cook ovens, and char broiler.
• Use methods including pan frying, sautéing, deep frying, boiling, baking/roasting.
• Show courtesy and clear communication with guests.
