Job summary

TouchPoint Support Services in Manhattan, KS is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time COOK positions at FS Via Christi Manhattan (2800 Willow Grove Road). Schedules are 5:00 am–1:30 pm or 11:00 am–7:30 pm, Saturday through Monday, with online applications accepted.

You will prepare food to standard recipes, ensure safe, hot, and appetizing meals, follow HACCP guidelines, maintain cleanliness, and assist with ordering and inventory. Previous kitchen experience is required.

• Previous kitchen experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
• Uses established ticket collection procedures during service. Responsible for records from area worked during service periods.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Maintains proper storage of food and supplies; operates kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
• Assists in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
