Job summary

Apex Recovery LLC (TN) seeks a dedicated kitchen assistant to prepare and assist in dietary meal services for clients in residential settings. You will maintain sanitary conditions, help the chef with menus and supply procurement, and ensure dietary restrictions are observed by clinical staff.

Ideal candidates have formal culinary training or a high school diploma and some healthcare food prep experience. Strong organizational skills and English proficiency are required, with the ability to work

Qualifications

Formal culinary education or training is preferred.
High School Diploma is required.
Experience in healthcare food preparation is preferred.
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks within inflexible time frames.
Must follow organizational policies and procedures.
English sufficient to provide and receive instructions.

Responsibilities

Prepares and/or preps menu items according to standard recipes.
Maintains equipment in kitchen to standard.
Maintains kitchen area to required sanitary standards.
Completes all tasks on duty while adhering to safety standards and hospital policies.
Assists chef in preparation of menu and procurement of supplies.
Follows dietary restrictions or preferences as noted by Chef or clinical staff.
Ensures high level of customer service to clients at all times.
