Job summary

McKenzie SNF Healthcare, LLC (Cherrywood Post Acute) is seeking a cook to manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.

You will maintain a safe, sanitary kitchen, prepare meals, follow menus, and ensure proper portion control, with duties including dietary restrictions and special diets.

This role includes some supervision in the supervisor's absence, requires a high school diploma, hospital or long-term care cook experience, and ServSafe certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of cook experience in a hospital or long-term care facility.
• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certificate.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals in large quantities according to menus.
• Record food temperatures and ensure safety.
• Prepare special diets and puree foods.
• Assist with serving and maintain sanitary kitchen.
• Follow cleaning schedules and report issues to supervisors.
• Train and supervise dietary staff in absence of supervisor.
