Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy services. You will fill medications and IV orders, deliver to patient care areas, and assist in maintaining inventory and log books. Strong attention to accuracy and confidentiality is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand pharmacy procedures and terminology.
• Knowledge of basic chemistry, arithmetic and algebra.
• Excellent reading and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Fills medications and IV orders from computer generated labels, delivers medications to patient care areas and automated dispensing cabinets.
• Credits returned patient medications accurately.
• Answers telephone/window and handles visitors; directs drug information questions to a pharmacist.
• Prepares prepackaged medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Prepares parenteral, admixture and Home IV Therapy orders under pharmacist supervision.
• Maintains clean work area and adequate medication par levels.
