Join the Elliot Hospital Revenue Integrity team as a Hospital Inpatient Coder. This remote role earns ICD-10 and DRG codes for inpatient services, ensuring compliant documentation and timely reimbursement. You will collaborate with providers and coding leadership to resolve discrepancies and uphold a 95% coding accuracy rate.

Qualifications include 2+ years of medical coding experience and current CCS or HIC Certification. Must reside in the United States and be available M-F 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Current CCS or HIC Coding Certification(s) required.
• Experience with healthcare coding audits and appeals.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10 and DRG codes to hospital inpatient services.
• Interpret notes and assign codes and modifiers for compliance and reimbursement.
• Maintain a minimum of 95% coding accuracy through QA and audits.
• Collaborate with providers and coding leadership to resolve coding discrepancies.

This role supports the integrity of clinical documentation and ensures timely, compliant coding to facilitate optimal reimbursement and minimize denials.
