Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA, is seeking a full-time HVAC Mechanic for the day shift (7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.), with a weekend rotation every 4–5 weeks. The role demands 3 years of HVAC experience, DDC proficiency, and appropriate EPA certifications.

A Journeyman license is expected by the end of the first year. Education includes a high school diploma or equivalent, plus one year of post-secondary/vocational training in HVAC or related fields.

Qualifications

• High School grad or equivalent required.
• 1 year post-secondary/vocational training in HVAC-related fields preferred.
• Proficient with direct digital controls (DDC).
• Universal certification preferred.
• Journeyman license for Heating Vent and AC must be attained by end of first year.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and maintain HVAC systems.
• Maintain parts, supplies and equipment; follow regulatory guidelines (OSHA).
• Ensure compliance with operational/departmental guidelines.
