Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System is seeking a skilled HVAC Mechanic to maintain and service facility systems under the supervision of the Plant Engineering Supervisor. You will support operations by addressing a range of mechanical, refrigeration, and control-system duties across the campus.

Responsibilities include servicing chillers and air handling units, working with building automation points, and performing electrical and plumbing tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with technical or trade courses.
• EPA Certification.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a journeyman HVAC mechanic.
• Previous experience in hospital environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs all duties as a journeyman HVAC mechanic.
• Services and repairs mechanical/refrigeration equipment (chillers, air handlers, split systems, refrigerators, ice machines, water heaters).
• Controls: building automation system—check set points, temperature, humidity, and make adjustments as needed.
• Electrical trouble shooting as related to mechanical systems.
• Plumbing repairs as related to mechanical systems.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams.
• Work independently without supervision.
• All other assigned duties.
