Job summary

Mercy Medical Center, part of Trinity Health Of New England, seeks an Environmental Services team member to maintain sanitary hospital areas. You will perform a variety of cleaning duties across patient rooms and offices, move furniture, restock supplies, and ensure a clean, safe environment for patients and staff.

Responsibilities include following established procedures, using cleaning equipment, and inspecting completed work for quality.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and comprehend basic written instructions in English.
• 3+ months of cleaning experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs safely.
• Able to perform repetitive sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and dusting.

Responsibilities

• Receives assignments and transports cleaning materials to work areas.
• Cleans furnishings, fixtures, and floors with germicidal solutions.
• Removes soiled linens, cleans beds, and restocks supplies.
• Sweeps, mops, vacuums, and buffers large and small floor areas.
• Inspects areas after cleaning to ensure cleanliness and neatness.
• Moves furniture and equipment as needed for cleaning.
